As a Professional Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing projects related to water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and drainage systems. Your responsibilities will span from initial project concept development to construction phase engineering service support. Job SummaryProfessional Engineer with general instruction will independently perform engineering system design during all phases of multiple, simultaneous projects by performing design calculations, specifications, interpreting and preparing reports, applying techniques and procedures, preparing cost estimates, impact studies, permits and designs/deliverable drawings. Job ResponsibilitiesManages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation. Plan and conduct evaluation and site observation. Review project documents, specifications, and design options; ensure code compliance through meetings and reviews. Make recommendations based on findings.Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions. May mentor, lead or supervise staff; assign tasks and checks work for accuracy. Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables. Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant codes and design standards. Build and develop internal and external relationships Perform other duties as assigned. RequirementsRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineer License (PE)4+ years’ experiencePreferred Education & ExperienceSolid command of core engineering principles with the ability to apply them to real-world, multidisciplinary projects. Proficient in problem-solvingExperienced with industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)Competent in data interpretation and statistical analysisWorking knowledge of project management fundamentalsDemonstrate critical thinking and sound engineering judgementDetail-oriented and quality focusedEffective communicatorLockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
