Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Certified Surgical Tech Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech Profession: CST Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience License: BLS certification required Certifications: National Certification (TSC through NCCT or CST through NBSTSA) preferred Must-Have: Experience with general surgeries, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, GYN including C-sections, and heavy orthopedics. Description: Urgent start needed. Interviews can be scheduled promptly. The schedule is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM daily. This facility has approximately 4 operating rooms. The role includes working on various case types like general surgeries (open and laparoscopic), bowel, gallbladder, appendix, hernias, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and GYN procedures including C-sections. Heavy experience in orthopedics and trauma is a must. Experience with after-hours and on-call cases such as trauma, emergency C-sections, and emergency general cases is required. Candidates without certification may be considered with manager approval, provided they are grandfathered in. Support on the unit includes supervisor and educators. The technology used includes EMR systems and medication dispensing. Schedule regular hours from Monday to Friday, with weekend on-call rotation required. On-call responsibilities include one shift per week and one weekend every 4-6 weeks. Call back time is 30 minutes. Emergency cases only during on-call periods. Holiday work will also be on an on-call basis. Manager approval is needed for time-off requests. Scrub colors will be provided.
