Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments as required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Complete administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when necessary. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, OR 3+ months’ experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency if no prior experience exists. Strong customer service record. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexible to work overtime when needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
