Job Title: Warehouse Auditor Job Description

The Warehouse Auditor verifies the accuracy of grocery inventory by using a finger scanner and computer system to confirm that product UPC codes match system records. Working with pallets of grocery items, this role involves scanning, moving, and occasionally opening packages to locate and correct UPC information, ensuring precise inventory control and smooth distribution operations.

• Use a finger scanner and computer to scan pallets of grocery items and verify that UPC codes are accurate in the inventory system.
• Review system alerts and errors, and take corrective action by opening packages, scanning specific units, or searching within the computer system to locate and apply the correct UPC.
• Organize product across two pallets, moving items from a full pallet to an empty pallet as each item is scanned and verified.
• Handle a variety of grocery products, including light items and heavier products such as bags of dog food or cases of meat, while maintaining safe lifting practices.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds occasionally as part of daily auditing and handling tasks.
• Perform accurate computer data entry to maintain up-to-date and error-free inventory records.
• Utilize Manhattan software to complete scanning and inventory activities in line with established procedures.
• Support picking and inventory processes by ensuring items are correctly identified, labeled, and recorded.
• Maintain strong attention to detail to identify discrepancies and prevent inventory errors.
• Follow all safety protocols and operational guidelines within the warehouse and refrigerated areas.

• Ability to perform accurate computer data entry and navigate basic computer applications.
• Capability to lift and move items up to 75 pounds as needed throughout the shift.
• Comfort working with grocery products, including cases of meat and other items typically ranging from 5 to 25 pounds.
• Attention to detail to identify and correct UPC and inventory discrepancies.
• Willingness to work in both ambient (non-climate-controlled but comfortable) and refrigerated environments.
• Ability to use handheld scanning devices such as finger scanners.
• Basic familiarity with using software systems; experience with Manhattan software is beneficial but ERP-specific experience is not required.

• Experience as an Instacart shopper or similar shopping role, demonstrating comfort with scanning, product identification, and online systems.
• Experience playing video games or online shopping, indicating strong computer literacy and comfort with technology.
• Recent high school graduates with solid computer skills are well-suited for this role.
• Interest in picking and inventory processes within a warehouse environment.

The role is based in a 1 million square foot warehouse that distributes grocery items to local stores. The facility includes both ambient (non-climate-controlled but comfortable) areas and refrigerated sections, and employees must be willing to work in both temperature zones. The distribution center maintains exceptionally clean conditions and follows rigorous safety protocols. The position operates on first shift, starting at 3:00 a.m. and ending at the completion of production, typically around 11:30 a.m., with regular days off on Monday and Tuesday. The environment uses scanning technology and the Manhattan software platform to manage inventory and product movement.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
