Come help us grow!The OpportunityIn this role, you will support the Real Estate Finance division by analyzing and interpreting large financial data sets using statistical and programming skills to extract valuable insights and developing predictive models and reports that inform critical business decisions within the organization. The department is responsible for over a billion dollars in annual capital and op ex spend. You will advance not only financial, but also operational analytics for real estate, store construction, and property & facilities management. Your work will be in support of Dollar Tree's aggressive store growth and renovation objectives and in developing and executing strategic initiatives to support them. This position will offer a modern and thoughtful approach to data analysis utilizing the latest technologies with the goal of accelerating the company's growth agenda, advancing Dollar Tree's business objectives, and contributing to EBITDA and operating income improvements.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Support the FP&A team responsible for the financial and operational analytics of the company's Real Estate division by partnering with department heads to develop and build business intelligence tools and data-driven insights.Identify relevant data sources and automate data collection and reporting processes.Develop, implement, and enhance predictive models and driver-based rolling forecasts to support financial planning and scenario analysisPerform data validation, cleansing, and error analysis to improve model accuracy and ensure data integrityApply quantitative analysis and analytical experimentation to aid in the development of business strategiesDevelop best practices for data standards and coding practices to ensure consistency in data modelsAssist leadership and other team members with ad-hoc analysis, modeling and data gathering projects as needed.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative fieldMin 3 years' experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data miningExperience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysisExperience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses and visualization of targeted data sourcesExcellent written/oral communication and data presentation skillsAdvanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPointExperience with dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Power BIDetail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:MBA or Master's degree in related fieldRetail experienceExperienced with Alteryx and IBM Planning AnalyticsExperience with Big DataExperience with statistical analyses and data modeling that leverages both AI and Machine LearningKnowledge of programming languages, such as SQL, Python, and RAdvanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modelingStart Rate = $125,000 to $137,000 based on experience plus 20% bonus and equity.The company offers Health, Dental, & Vision, a flexible spending account, life and disability insurance benefits, a 401k plan, PTO, paid holidays annually, and an employee stock purchase plan.Our success is a team effort —when we reach our goals, you'll be eligible for a yearly bonus!Your Perks and Benefits: We offer a wide variety of rewards to support your health, wealth, and mental well-being.
