Summary A well-established logistics/forwarding company is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part‑time Accounting Clerk. This role primarily focuses on administrative and bookkeeping tasks related to air import operations, including invoice preparation and payment tracking. The ideal candidate will have basic bookkeeping knowledge and the ability to communicate primarily in Japanese, with basic English skills for handling invoices and vendor correspondence. Because the current staff member is departing at the end of July, the company is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for a smooth handover. Essential Duties Billing & Invoice Creation: Generate and process accurate billing documents and invoices specific to air import shipments. Invoice Management: Review, verify, and process incoming invoices from truckers and logistics partners. Payment Tracking (Collections): Monitor outstanding balances and send polite, professional payment reminders to clients regarding overdue accounts. Data Entry & Coordination: Maintain financial records and shipping data using Excel and internal systems. Working Hours & Style Job Type: Part‑time Work Schedule: 4 days a week, 6 hours per day (Total: 24 hours/week). Specific days and hours can be discussed during the interview. Working Location Wood Dale, IL Salary $19.00 – $20.00 per hour (Depending on experience) Qualifications Language Skills: Japanese: Native or Business level (Main language for internal communication / Required) English: Basic to Intermediate level (Able to read/write emails, handle invoices and communicate with truckers / Required) Experience/Skills: Basic bookkeeping knowledge or experience (Bookkeeping level is perfectly acceptable). #J-18808-Ljbffr
