Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Nursing Team: 12-Hour Night Shift in an Exciting PCU!


- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Unit Type: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Patient Demographics: Adults and geriatrics
- Common Diagnoses: Cardiac conditions, nephrology, strokes, diabetes, continuous EEG monitoring
- Beds: 35
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations
- Titrate drips, including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
- Collaborate with charge nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Support patient care technicians with a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20

Requirements:
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday every third rotation
- No prior affiliation as a full-time, part-time, or PRN nurse with CommonSpirit facilities
- Valid driver's license required for location eligibility

Orientation & Training:
- Comprehensive onboarding during the first week
- 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation
- Pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%

Contract Details:
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract with potential for extension
- Capacity for up to 4 shift cancellations by the hospital per contract
