Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM / 6:30 PM–7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Every third holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 35-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring
• Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications per physician orders
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, collaborating with patient care techs assigned at a 1:10 ratio
• Float as needed to medical floors, ICU, or rehabilitation units
• Participate in unit-specific orientation including onboarding week and 1–2 days of floor orientation
• Adhere to facility fingernail policy; artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Must achieve a passing score of 90% or higher on the unit skills exam administered during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Progressive Care, Stepdown, or IMC setting
• Experience titrating cardiac and neurological drips
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
