On Demand Services Engineer (Req #1434)

Role

On Demand Services Engineer providing Network, Security, and Systems support to client environments.

Objectives

ensure system stability, availability, security, and functionality; troubleshoot and resolve network/system issues; support performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• perform support tasks for network and end-user systems,
• troubleshoot problems independently or within a team,
• manage tickets and projects,
• maintain technical skills and toolkit,
• escalate issues as needed,
• and ensure compliance with internal and client procedures.

Qualifications

• high school diploma required;
• 1-2 years of networking experience;
• 1-3 years of field and client-facing support;
• CCNA certification (upon hire or within 6 months);
• experience with Cisco, Nortel, 3Com, Microsoft NT, VMware, routing protocols (IP, OSPF, RIP), LAN/WAN concepts, and troubleshooting tools.

Preferred skills

familiarity with protocols, hardware, and proprietary Cisco management software.
