Job Title Physician - Rheumatology (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic Rheumatologist to join the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology. Position Overview The Division of Rheumatology and Immunology in the Department of Internal Medicine has a dynamic opportunity for an academic rheumatologist to help meet the needs of an expanding outpatient multidisciplinary clinic network. Position Type: Regular Shift: First Shift Responsibilities Provide patient care in the general rheumatology clinic, outpatient procedures, and inpatient consultation. Teach and train students, residents, and rheumatology fellows. Participate in clinical trials and research opportunities. Engage in teaching and training activities, and contribute to research projects. Qualifications Board-certified or eligible in Rheumatology. Possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Academic record and experience commensurate with rank and track. Faculty Defined Clinical faculty : Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, and professor-clinical. Focus on delivery of exemplary clinical care; may include teaching and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty : Persons with titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or have obtained tenure. Primary focus on research, service, and teaching, with possible clinical involvement. Research faculty : Persons with titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. Focus solely on research; not eligible for tenure and appointed for terms of one to five years.
