Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.Job FunctionsThe Medical Assistant performs clinical duties. These duties include discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. They also take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site.You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at Conviva Westover Hills located at: 1911 Roger Rd, San Antonio, TX 78251RequiredYou will have successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from ProviderYou will have a high school diploma or equivalentYou will be CPR CertifiedPreferredYou will have phlebotomy experienceYou will have medication/vaccine administration experienceYou will have 1+ years MA experienceYou will have Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.You will be Bilingual proficient in English and SpanishAdditional Information:If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Please be aware that applicants may be asked to provide their Social Security Number, if it is not already on file.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
