Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the PCU unit will primarily support the ED-HOLD FLOATING and GSH 1 Dally/2 River North and South/Float Pool Teams. The role demands flexibility to float between units as needed, executing tasks within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Support areas with floating needs including MSICU, CVICU, and PCU.
• Provide patient care according to ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg ratios and specific patient care needs.
• Transport patients throughout the facility as needed, particularly during night shifts.
• Assist ED Holds Area and aid with tasks like medication administration during low transport periods.

Requirements:

• 1 year ICU experience, 1.5 years PCU experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications for ICU and PCU; BLS, NIHSS for Med-Surg.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting, Alaris, and Pyxis systems.
• Effective communication and patient education skills required.
• Completion and passing of Traveler Telemetry competency exam before start.
