Location: Lanham, MD

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 35

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment accurately
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and wellness strategies
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Maryland or compact privilege
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior experience in an acute care or rehab setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Proficient in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Capable of standing for long periods and assisting with patient transfers
• Understanding of rehabilitation principles and evidence-based practice
