Role Description The Certified Athletic Trainer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Granite Falls, WA, with some flexibility to work from home for administrative and documentation tasks. On a day-to-day basis, this role provides athletic training services including injury assessment, prevention programs, rehabilitation support, and return-to-play guidance for patients and athletes. The trainer collaborates closely with physical therapists, physicians, coaches, and families to design and implement individualized treatment and conditioning plans. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, educating patients and community members on injury prevention and wellness, and supporting on-site coverage for practices, games, and events as needed. The role also involves contributing to a positive clinic environment by upholding IRG’s values, participating in professional development, and promoting safe, evidence-based practices. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Injury Prevention and Prevention-focused program development. Candidates should possess comprehensive Athletic Training skills, including on-field evaluation, triage, and care coordination. Candidates should possess expertise in Strength & Conditioning to design safe, sport-specific training and performance programs. Candidates should possess Rehabilitation skills to support recovery plans in collaboration with physical therapists and other providers. Current Board of Certification (BOC) credential as an Athletic Trainer and eligibility for/licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Washington State. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited program. Strong communication, collaboration, and patient education skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings or weekends for events coverage, and to adapt between clinic and field settings. CPR/AED certification and a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
