School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Position Purpose

The School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supports the development and implementation of effective, evidence-based behavioral and instructional programming for students with diverse needs. The BCBA works collaboratively with school teams to assess student needs, develop and monitor individualized programming, support IEP implementation, analyze student progress, and build staff capacity through consultation, training, coaching, and supervision. The position is intended to promote student access, engagement, independence, and meaningful progress within the least restrictive educational environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior analytic services to support students' educational access, participation, independence, and progress. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments and other behavior-analytic assessments as appropriate.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and revise behavior intervention plans and individualized student programming.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate student progress and the effectiveness of interventions and programming.
• Develop and maintain required documentation, including progress reports, data summaries, behavioral documentation, and other records related to student programming.
• Attend and actively participate in IEP Team meetings, eligibility meetings, and other student-centered meetings as assigned.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and revision of IEP goals, objectives, services, accommodations, modifications, and behavioral supports.
• Oversee and manage behavior-analytic programming for assigned students and programs.
• Supervise, direct, coach, and support educational technicians and other staff responsible for implementing student programming.
• Train staff in the implementation of behavioral, instructional, and skill-development programs and provide ongoing performance feedback.
• Monitor staff implementation of programs and behavior plans to ensure fidelity and consistency across educational settings.
• Model instructional, behavioral, and de-escalation strategies for staff as appropriate.
• Make data-based recommendations and adjustments to student programming based on progress, need, and response to intervention.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, families, and outside providers to promote coordinated and consistent student support.
• Support the development of staff capacity in evidence-based behavioral and instructional practices.
• Assist with problem-solving related to significant behavioral, functional, adaptive, and educational needs.
• Ensure assigned services and programming are implemented in accordance with student IEPs, district procedures, professional standards, and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable student records, special education, and professional ethics requirements.
• Perform other related duties consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the position as assigned by the Director of Special Services or designee.

Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the administrative team and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Compensation

Based on experience and Education, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement ( $50,779 - $94,176
