Housekeeper (Full-Time)

Position Details: Full-Time, Permanent, Live-Out

Location: Weehawken, NJ

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation: $30–$40 per hour, W2 (on the books)

Additional Benefits: Federal holidays off, one week paid vacation, and five paid sick days

A private household in Weehawken, NJ, is seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain a refined home to an exceptional standard. The ideal candidate is discreet, reliable, and skilled in detailed cleaning, laundry, organization, and the proper care of delicate and valuable belongings.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed daily and deep cleaning throughout the residence.
• Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living spaces, and common areas to a consistently high standard.
• Handle household laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, steaming, and proper storage.
• Care appropriately for cashmere, silk, fine clothing, specialty footwear, luxury handbags, fine linens, and other delicate items.
• Clean and maintain artwork, furniture, and specialty surfaces only according to approved methods.
• Keep closets, cabinets, storage areas, and household spaces neat and organized.
• Follow detailed household instructions, cleaning systems, and checklists.
• Report damage, maintenance concerns, missing items, or anything requiring clarification immediately.
• Ask for approval before moving, discarding, donating, storing, repairing, or treating unfamiliar or valuable belongings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family, residence, belongings, guests, schedules, and address.
• Follow all household security procedures and never allow unauthorized visitors into the residence.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and non-intrusive presence in the home.

Qualifications & Required Qualities:

• Several years of professional housekeeping experience in a high-end or formal private residence.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistently high cleaning standards.
• Demonstrated experience caring for delicate and valuable clothing, accessories, artwork, furnishings, and specialty surfaces.
• Strong knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods and products.
• Careful and methodical approach to household belongings.
• Highly reliable, punctual, and consistent.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy and personal boundaries.
• Comfortable following detailed written instructions and checklists.
• Proactive within established responsibilities while knowing when to ask for approval.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Clear, concise, and professional communication style.
• Excellent verifiable private-household references.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to complete a paid trial shift prior to final hire.
