Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy 21-bed Renal Medical-Surgical unit. This unit specializes in the care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be confident in managing renal-related complications.

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) - Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients.
Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs.
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Qualifications

Active Ohio RN license (required at submission).
Current BLS certification.
Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience (renal experience strongly preferred).
Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips.
Competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination.
Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory, no training provided).
Documentation of Epic proficiency is required for consideration.

Additional Details

Holiday coverage is required. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in a high-volume setting.
