Sr. HVAC Project Manager

Job Description

Day-to-Day:

Lead end-to-end project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, labor forecasting, and overall delivery performance

Support and contribute to estimating and proposal development across plumbing, piping, and sheet metal scopes

Build and maintain strong client relationships with owners, contractors, and key stakeholders

Identify and pursue new business opportunities while contributing to proposal presentations

Collaborate with field teams to ensure effective labor management, safety compliance, and project coordination

Perform and support safety audits and proactively plan for safe job site execution

Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers

Ensure projects meet or exceed targeted financial margins and operational goals

Apply technical expertise in mechanical systems and building standards to support project success

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field OR equivalent construction industry experience

2+ years of experience supporting HVAC installations for a mechanical subcontractor.

7-8+ years of Project Management experience within commercial and/or industrial construction environments.

Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project closeout

Experience leading large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects ($10M+ preferred)

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical construction processes, and coordination with field operations

Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships in a customer-facing environment

Experience with estimating, labor planning, manpower forecasting, and project financial management

Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, or project teams

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and make decisions in fast-paced construction environments Experience with CAD, Revit, Navisworks, or BIM tools

Familiarity with Smartsheets or similar project tracking tools

LEED accreditation or sustainability experience

Background supporting or leading proposal development and business development efforts
