CarpenterMortenson is currently seeking a Carpenter that will be responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for installation of formwork, finish carpentry and drywall.ResponsibilitiesStudy blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material requirements and measure dimensionsPerform concrete and rough carpentry (hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, slabs, columns, drywall)Set door frames, hang doors, and install hardwareComplete finish carpentry tasks (toilet accessories, handrails, corner guards, partitions, lockers, cabinets, countertops, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, running trim)Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsPerform all other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDCompletion of apprenticeship programUnion specific trainingAbility to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, read plans, and operate equipment (table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging, and form systems)Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and effective communication including active listening and openness to diverse input and feedbackRepetitive hand, arm, leg movements*Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling: up to 50 lbs.Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
