Direct Support Professional

Benefits: Dental insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance About the Role: Join Gateway Residential Services as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. This rewarding position allows you to provide vital support and assistance while fostering independence and personal growth in a compassionate environment. Available Shifts: Monday - Friday, working every other weekend 7am-3pm 3pm-11pm 11pm-7am Responsibilities: Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote personal development and self-esteem. Implement individualized care plans and track progress towards personal goals. Facilitate community outings and social activities to enhance engagement and quality of life. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and any changes in client behavior or needs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to promoting client independence. Experience with behavioral support techniques is a plus. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Background check required to ensure the safety of clients.
