Role Description
Lasher seeks an experienced litigation legal assistant (secretary) for its busy and thriving Commercial/Business Litigation and Labor & Employment practices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience in a respected litigation practice. Candidates will be skilled in managing and prioritizing multiple cases with complex dockets; management of attorneys dockets and adherence to case schedules (timely confirmation of motions, etc.); ability to coordinate discovery production; ability to organize for heavy motions practice, mediation, and trials. Candidates must have experience in assisting lawyers in preparing a case for filing, for mediation/settlement, dispositive motion practice and trial. Candidates must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and stay on task and they must have exceptional English language skills. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, matching 401(k) contribution up to 4% of your voluntary contribution, fully paid public transit pass, and paid time off (PTO). Annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 depending on experience. Qualifications
- Proficiency in Legal Assistance and Legal Document Preparation
- Experience in Litigation and foundational knowledge of Law
- Strong Administrative Assistance and Calendaring skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal software and document management systems
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and support multiple attorneys
- Prior experience in a law firm specializing in litigation is preferred
