Nursing Manager employment opportunity.Sierra Health and Wellness use evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming the character, we give life back to the people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues.Our two inpatient facilities are located in scenic Bangor (15 minutes from Oroville, 30 minutes from Chico). The Nursing Manager will be assisting in our 6 bed primary mental health facility and at our veteran 16 bed drug & alcohol treatment facility. Our clients come to us voluntarily and are met with care and compassion.Positions available:Sunday-Thursday - 9am-5:30pmBenefits:Competitive pay10 days paid vacation5 holidays/ 5 sick days per yearMedical, Dental, and Vision benefits401K with a company match of up to 3%Life InsuranceEssential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Prepare and review medical records, nurses’ notes to evaluate the resident’s physical and emotional status.Audit/review charts daily.Provide nursing care as ordered by medical providers, care plans, established standards, policies, and procedures.Prepare and pass medications in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping, and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.Supervise and support personnel management of staff including providing real-time coaching and education to nursing staff as needed.Practice in accordance with nursing scope and Joint Commission and California Department of Health Care Services regulations.Assist in interviewing, and on-boarding/training of new nursing department staff.Support leadership with chart audits, staffing schedules, and other duties as assigned.Communicates with medical providers and the program director to ensure safe patient care and compliance.Assists with coordinating care to outside providers, pick up of medications, and after-care plans for clients.Other duties as assigned.Required Education & Licensure:Associate’s degree from an accredited University or School of Nursing.Current Registered Nursing (RN) License in the State of California for 1+ years.Current TB Test, CPR/First Aid.Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or School of NursingSupervisory experienceCertified to draw bloodTravel Required:Ability to travel to various locationsSierra Health and Wellness are a California network of leading behavioral health and rehab centers for adults and families who suffer from addiction to alcohol, opiates, amphetamines and other addictive substances.Sierra Health and Wellness is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against applicants, employees or clients on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability, veteran status or any other category protected by the law, or patients' decisions regarding advance directives.
