This 383-bed hospital in Northern Kentucky provides comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services with established protocols for quality patient care delivery. The facility maintains modern surgical equipment and utilizes the EPIC EMR system for documentation and care coordination. The medical center employs dedicated support staff including Physician Associates and APRNs to ensure continuity of care across the cardiothoracic surgery service line.

Kentucky offers diverse attractions including the Louisville Mega Cavern and Mammoth Cave, providing underground exploration opportunities alongside the Ark Encounter specialty museum. The state features outdoor activities such as horseback riding at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington and zip lining through forested areas. The clinician will provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 week per month of Monday through Thursday weeknight call from 5 PM to 7 AM as 2nd Call/Backup. The position involves assisting with cardiothoracic surgery procedures and vascular components with limited rounding responsibilities. The clinician will collaborate with 3 Physician Associates who provide first assist services and 3 APRNs who handle office consultations Monday through Thursday. Documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system for all patient encounters and surgical procedures.
