Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to the public, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and document observations and activities in accordance with location guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit‑related facilities, public areas, platforms, entrances, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by assignment. Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional interaction. Support security‑related operations by communicating with supervisors, public agency personnel, and/or first responders during routine activity, service disruptions, or emergency situations. Minimum Requirements: A New York State Security Guard License is required. At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
