For quick apply, please contact Rahul Kumar at 248‑936‑ Only! Job Summary Contribute to the day‑to‑day operations of the district’s IT procurement function. Accountable for participating in procurement strategies, defining business requirements, identifying opportunities to improve processes, and keeping management aware of the status of procurement operations. Participate on workgroups as the district IT procurement representative when appropriate. Responsibilities Aids in IT procurements day‑to‑day functions and operations. Assists with customer needs for IT hardware and software questions/requests. Coordinated and resolved all IT procurement hardware and software customer service issues. Maintains software license tracking for all software purchased in the district. Participates in the process to ensure license compliance and that software standards are met for all software requests. Initiates compliance activities with internal BTS functional areas (e.g., IT security, business partnership managers, other district departments such as Legal and FM&P) to properly vet new software titles before they are introduced to the client’s network. Defines and investigates functional problems or customer service issues and communicates recommended corrective actions to IT Services and Solutions management. Familiarizes employees with IT Services and Solutions policies, standards and procedures. Serves as IT Procurement liaison for Business Technology and Security (BTS) management and staff. Maintains any necessary changes to the internal IT Procurement site. Education High school diploma or GED. Associate’s degree or 2 years of equivalent experience. Experience Less than two years of relevant experience. Knowledge and Technical Skills Basic understanding of Information Technology. Basic understanding of customer service. Software licensing. PC specifications and functions. Certifications / Licenses None specified. Core Competencies Demonstrates self‑awareness. Collaborates. Problem solving. Communicates effectively. Action‑oriented. Top 5 Must‑Have Hard Skills Ordering hardware & software for the entire 6th district (multiple locations in the southeast). Experience with ServiceNow and Ariba. Submitting orders & interacting with IT vendors. Critical thinking; thinking outside the box & asking questions. Concise communication. Day‑to‑Day Expectations Follow procurement processes. Ensure that items internal staff members order are not already in-house. Interact with and take direction from Lead IT Procurement Specialist.
