Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. This position requires an individual with a strong nursing background, particularly in surgical settings.

Shift Details

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Duration: 13 weeks

Weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience in preceptorship, charge nursing, and leadership roles is preferred for candidates with experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Room.
• Assess patients' clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Ensure safety standards are met and work effectively with patient lifts.
• Function well in high-pressure situations while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit leadership abilities with the capacity to prioritize and delegate tasks.
• May assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation effectively to maintain a safe and aseptic environment.
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias as part of patient care duties.

• Ability to handle stress and remain calm in challenging situations.
• Expertise in the operation of clinical equipment used in an Operating Room setting.
