Project Accountant (Open to Entry-Level Candidates)

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting for assigned construction projects
• Handle project billing, including progress billings and AIA billing
• Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and profitability
• Review contracts, change orders, and subcontractor invoices
• Partner with Project Managers to review project financial performance
• Assist with forecasting and cost-to-complete analysis
• Perform month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Research and resolve project accounting discrepancies
• Maintain accurate project documentation and accounting records
• Support additional accounting and reporting needs as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 1+ year of accounting experience; construction or project accounting experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
