Shift Lead – Firehouse Subs Lead the Shift. Support the Team. Serve with Purpose. Firehouse Subs is looking for energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Shift Leads to join our team. As a Shift Lead, you'll help lead day-to-day restaurant operations while supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager in delivering excellent food, service, cleanliness, and team performance. Benefits Competitive pay Employee discounts Flexible scheduling What You'll Do As a Shift Lead, you'll help lead successful restaurant shifts from start to finish. You will: Lead by example and provide direction and support to team members throughout the shift Help ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service Maintain Firehouse Subs standards for food quality, preparation, portioning, and presentation Assign positions and deploy team members based on business needs Monitor speed of service and make adjustments to keep operations running efficiently Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and food safety procedures are followed Complete required food safety and temperature logs accurately and on time Immediately address and communicate any food safety concerns Support proper opening, closing, and shift-change procedures Assist with cash handling, register procedures, deposits, and other assigned financial controls Monitor product levels and help ensure proper stocking, rotation, and inventory procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant for guests and employees Coach team members in the moment and reinforce company policies and operating standards Help train and develop new and existing team members Communicate equipment, maintenance, staffing, food safety, and operational concerns to restaurant management Assist restaurant management with controlling food waste and labor during assigned shifts Handle guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly Help create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace Perform team member duties and work restaurant stations as needed What We’re Looking For Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred, but not required Strong communication and people skills Ability to lead by example and provide clear direction to team members Dependable, punctual, and able to work with a sense of urgency Strong attention to food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards Ability to remain calm and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment Willingness to coach team members and hold standards consistently Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Ability to perform the physical duties required in a fast-paced restaurant environment Grow With Us A Shift Lead position is an opportunity to build real restaurant leadership experience.
