Department: 34528 Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center – Med Surg: 8 Tower. Status: Full time. Hours Per Week: 36. Schedule Details: 3 days per week, 0700 to 1930; every other weekend; 3 holidays per year. Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30. Benefits Eligible: Yes. Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma/Ortho/Tele/Medical‑Surgical Location: Chicago, IL. This unit is the largest medical‑surgical unit at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, focusing on Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery and General Surgery. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the nurse practices. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association. Minimum of one year inpatient RN experience. Responsibilities As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will employ evidence‑based practice, clinical decision‑making, compassion, and effective communication to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Specific learning opportunities include critical thinking, advanced assessment skills, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and management of IV lines, enteral feeding tubes, and invasive drainage devices.
