CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our Survey Geospatial Team in Norwell, MA. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day field activities that support critical transportation projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong team coordination. This opportunity is ideal for a driven leader who combines technical expertise with a collaborative approach and takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality survey data. What You'll Do: * Direct and lead field crew members through daily survey assignments, ensuring safe, efficient, and well‑coordinated field operations in alignment with safety protocols and quality assurance standards * Perform record research, construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, transportation, and utility surveys utilizing total stations, data collectors, and GPS * Review legal documents, plans, and project materials to accurately plan and execute surveying projects and task goal establishment * Create and verify field sketches and field computations related to traversing, map interpretation, and layout What You Bring: * High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree and/or Bachelor's degree preferred * Minimum of 3 years of related experience required * Strong knowledge of surveying practices, field procedures, and industry standards * Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred; knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred * Strong leadership, communication, and team‑coordination skills with the ability to represent the firm professionally with clients and the broader public * Ability to lift and carry equipment over uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditions * Valid driver's license required with the ability to travel short-term * NSPS‑CST Level II certification preferred; LSIT preferred Why You'll Love It Here: * Lead field efforts on a wide range of impactful transportation infrastructure projects * Work alongside talented surveyors, engineers, and project teams who value accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement * Grow your career in a supportive environment with opportunities to expand your technical skillset and leadership capabilities Curious how CHA's Survey Geospatial team is shaping mobility and infrastructure? Salary Range: $32.00 - $40.00 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
