Equipment Repair Technician

Equipment Repair Technician (Open) Location: Rosedale, MD (RDA) – Welding equipment rental Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Compensation: Hourly $28–$32 per hour Benefits Comprehensive Family Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Disability Insurance Support for Parents: 14‑week paid child birth benefit Future Security: 401(k) with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick time Early Access: Benefits start after 30 days of employment Responsibilities Contribute to a culture of safety by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc safety guidelines Repair and refurbish all electric and engine drives Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental; test and calibrate machines for customer readiness Repaint parts, touch up paint, and apply decals to welders for professional appearance Replace defective parts and perform preventative maintenance Order parts as needed to ensure efficient repairs Inspect returned equipment for proper operation and necessary care Operate forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment to organize parts Maintain a clean and organized work environment Prepare and complete documentation for all machine repairs Provide on‑site service to support equipment and customers occasionally Maintain open communication with branch personnel Share expertise with customers regarding effective equipment for their projects occasionally Perform field work as needed to support business goals Perform other related duties as a collaborative team member Required Qualifications High School Diploma 0–1 year of related technical experience (early career or transition from similar fields welcomed) Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Post‑secondary education equivalent to a one‑year technical college or similar background Working knowledge of power generation and welding equipment Thoroughness and care in technical tasks with solid organizational skills Ability to multi‑task and thrive with autonomy while staying connected to team goals Equal Employment Opportunity Information We are an equal opportunity employer.
