Job DescriptionField Support Engineer – Job DescriptionPosition: Field Support EngineerExperience: 3–6 YearsEmployment Type: contractWork Mode: Onsite / Field SupportJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Field Support Engineer to provide onsite IT support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure and end-user systems across client locations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite/field IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT devices.Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows operating systems and applications.Perform hardware troubleshooting, replacement, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.Handle IMAC activities – Installation, Move, Add, and Change.Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, and basic TCP/IP issues.Support Microsoft Active Directory, user accounts, password resets, and access-related issues.Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Office applications.Troubleshoot VPN, email, endpoint, and peripheral-related issues.Manage incidents and service requests through ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or ManageEngine.Follow SLA requirements and ensure timely resolution of assigned tickets.Coordinate with remote/L2/L3 teams and vendors for complex technical issues.Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.Perform IT asset deployment, inventory, tagging, and collection activities.Provide Smart Hands / Remote Hands support when required.Travel to different client sites based on business requirements.Required Technical SkillsWindows 10/11 troubleshooting and administration.Desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting.Active Directory fundamentals.Microsoft 365 / Office 365 support.Basic networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/Wi-Fi.Printer and peripheral troubleshooting.VPN and remote-access troubleshooting.ITSM/ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or similar.Basic knowledge of endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune is preferred.Preferred CertificationsCompTIA A+CompTIA Network+Microsoft certificationsITIL FoundationSoft SkillsStrong communication and customer-service skills.Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently at client sites.Strong time-management and organizational skills.Professional approach when interacting with customers and stakeholders.Willingness to travel between client locations.
