Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Shifts, Days, 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM with holiday rotation; every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a strong background in critical care to join our team. The RRT will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care across various departments in the facility, including labor and delivery. The selected candidate must be adaptable and willing to float within the hospital as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and therapy to patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and interpret laboratory results.
• Assist with intubation and extubation as well as manage mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and execute patient care effectively.
• Monitor patient responses to therapies and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience as an RRT.
• Current South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license.
• National certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) must be in hand prior to start.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Travel experience preferred.
