The role of the Pastry Cook reports to the Head Pastry Chef. The primary responsibilities of the Pastry Cook include preparing, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of desserts. The position also requires checking the quality of pastry products as well as inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure company standards.

The requirements as a Pastry Cook we would love you to have:

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship
• 3-5 years experience as a pastry cook at a 4/5 star hotel or restaurant
• Food handling certificate
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required
• Ability to stand during an entire shift
• Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
• Knowledge of Latin and Asian cuisine a plus
