Addiction Psychiatrist / Medical Director Opportunity

Location: Indianapolis, IN

We are seeking an experienced Addiction Psychiatrist to join a comprehensive behavioral health and substance use treatment program in the Indianapolis, Indiana area .

The primary facility includes a 112-bed detoxification and residential treatment program , along with a 60-bed Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) .

Additional treatment locations are located throughout the region, ranging from approximately 40 minutes to 3 hours from Indianapolis . Each additional location offers approximately 60 beds dedicated to detoxification and residential treatment .

The preferred arrangement is for one full-time psychiatrist to provide clinical and medical leadership across the program. However, part-time opportunities may also be considered to provide coverage at one or more locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
• Provide direct patient care within detoxification and residential treatment programs
• Serve in a Medical Director capacity and provide clinical leadership for the program
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision of advanced practice providers and other members of the treatment team
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, counselors, and other behavioral health professionals
• Support continuity of care across detoxification, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of treatment
• Participate in clinical meetings, treatment planning, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Help ensure services are provided in accordance with applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards
• Provide coverage and clinical support across additional treatment locations as needed based on the selected employment arrangement

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Fellowship training and/or demonstrated experience in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
• Board certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine preferred
• Eligible for an Indiana medical license
• Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions
• Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers
• Medical leadership or Medical Director experience preferred
• Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
