Database AdministratorMax Bill Rate: $97.50Location: Jacksonville FL (FT in office)Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMEligible to Convert: Yes, based on performance and budgetKey Responsibilities and DutiesFormulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.Minimum Qualifications6+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise database administration, support, and management across multiple database platforms, including:Microsoft SQL ServerOracle DatabasePostgreSQLCassandraSnowflakeRequired Skills and ExperienceExpert-level knowledge and experience in the following areas across the supported database platforms:Database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch managementDesign, implementation, administration, and support of database clustersHigh Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture, implementation, and supportBackup, restore, recovery, replication, and business continuity solutionsDatabase migration, consolidation, and platform modernization initiativesShell scripting and automation for database administration and operational tasks and using AIApplication and database performance analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigationAudit, compliance, risk management, and automated reporting solutionsDatabase performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning using tools such as Oracle Grid Control, Foglight, and native database monitoring utilitiesExperience supporting mission-critical production environments with 24x7 availability requirements.Strong understanding of database security, governance, and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud and good working knowledge of Snowflake database administration.Educational Requirements:University (Degree) PreferredWork Experience:6+ Years RequiredPhysical Requirements:On-site presence requiredCareer Level 7ICEnable Skills-Based Hiring - No
