This opportunity is ideal for entry-level candidates who have just finished their studies . We're offering a permanent full-time contract, and we can offer a salary of €20,000 - €25,000 a year.

4. Skills and experiences we are looking for in a candidate

Data is the lifeblood of everything we do. As a Data Scientist, you will help us transform raw, often messy environmental data into clear, structured information that powers our platforms. You will support our team in identifying, cleaning, and organizing datasets related to climate change and biodiversity. This role is central to our work because it ensures that the "data" in our "data-driven tools" is accurate, transparent, and ready to empower decision-makers to make positive changes.

• Scientific background: A degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Earth systems, Climate, Ecology, Remote sensing, Machine learning, etc.).
• Technical Basics: Familiarity with data cleaning and analytical tools. Introductory knowledge of programming (R or Python) and maps/GIS
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English (verbal and written), present your work, and ask for feedback.

Compensation:

• Annual salary of €20,000 - €25,000
• Annual profit-sharing bonus plan (team bonus up to 10% of salary based on company performance).
• €1,000 Referral Bonus after six months of hiring (for every successful referral).

6. Recruitment Process Overview

We will be funding this role with a Grant from the community of Madrid. These are the grant requirements for people applying:

• The position is open to people living in Spain . You could work remotely from any city in Spain and/or in our office in Madrid .
• You must be under 30 years old
• Have a completed university degree in a related field.

Application: April 30th - May 10th

• Please send us your CV and Cover Letter explaining why you would like to work with us and what you can bring to the team.
• Fluent English is really important to us, so if it's not your first language, please demonstrate your abilities in your CV and Cover Letter. We will not consider applications that are not sent in English.

First Interview: May 13th - 29th

• The purpose of this interview is to understand what you are looking for, your current skill level and experience, and what you care about.
• You will also have the opportunity to get to know the company and our culture better and ask any questions about the role and our ways of working.

Challenge: May 25th - June 12th

• We will invite you to work on an assignment to get a better understanding of your skills, the way you organize your ideas, and also how you would go about sharing what you do.
• You will receive the assignment by email and be given a week to submit the completed task.

2nd Interview: June 15th onwards.

• You will meet with a few of us, and we will discuss your experience and skills in depth. You will also have the opportunity to discuss the details of the challenge you shared with us in the previous stage of the process.
• This will be a great opportunity for you to ask us deeper questions about the role and the company.
