Babysitter

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the supervision and care of children left at the babysitting room of The Pointe at Ballwin Commons while their guardian(s) use the recreation facilities.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Supervision of children between the ages of 3 months and 8 years old during the time period that their guardian(s) are using the recreation facility.Responsible for the well being of all the children left under the staff's care.Collects admission tickets and communicates with parents/guardians the child's activities and behavior during their time the babysitting room.Responsible for keeping the babysitting room organized and safe for the children using the babysitting service.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABLITIES REQUIRED:Ability to work with the public and staff in a professional manner.Ability to work independently and efficiently without routine supervision.Maintain a positive self image and department image for the City of Ballwin.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental staff, community organizations, and the general public.Ability to communicate and understand the needs of children well enough to provide safe and efficient childcare.EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM THE JOB:TV/DVD, dishwasher, copy machineEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older.Must be able to work mornings and days.Prior work experience with children is essential.Ability to develop and maintain a professional working relationship with parents and children involved with the programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch Corp.
