Senior Staff Accountant

Senior Staff AccountantWe are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with robust accounting experience, including full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will confidently manage key accounting responsibilities while also engaging in transactional tasks as necessary.ResponsibilitiesOwn or significantly support the full month-end close process.Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.Complete monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor reconciliations, and payment runs.Support Accounts Receivable, including customer billing, cash application, and account reconciliation.Reconcile cash activity across multiple bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.Calculate variable compensation payments and related accruals.Research and resolve accounting variances with internal teams, customers, and vendors.Support year-end close and audit-related activities.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.Ensure compliance with company policies and established accounting standards.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5+ years of accounting experience.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.Proficiency in standard accounting systems, such as QuickBooks.Strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and quality of work.Exceptional attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also managing independent tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsInterest in renewable energy is a plus.Ownership mentality and career-driven mindset are highly valued.Experience with financial forecasting, general ledger, journal entry, financial statement, and balance sheet.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a smaller office with a team of 10+ people, fostering an intimate and family-oriented atmosphere in a fast-growing industry.
