Staff Accountant

Join as a Staff Accountant at Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, MS. Title: Staff Accountant Requisition ID: 2271 Location: Vicksburg, MS, 39180 Job Summary Duties include month‑end closing, financial analysis, reporting, account reconciliation, budget/cap‑ex planning, and support for special projects. Responsibilities also involve analyzing trends, costs, and revenues. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Preparation of accounting entries and month‑end accruals. Preparation and analysis of financial statements and supplemental reporting. Preparation of monthly financial reviews and variance analysis for each department. Assist with capital tracking, inventory, Accounts Payable, and audit requests. Maintain complex financial records and prepare reports and statements. Perform monthly account reconciliations accurately and on time. Support inventory counts and purchasing system needs. Assist in payroll functions and resolve related issues. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and corporate finance teams. Prepare manual checks upon request. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles. 1–2 years of related accounting experience. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Effective written and verbal communication in English. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
