Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg

Location: Viroqua, WI
Duration: 12 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12s
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours Per Week
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd Weekend
Holiday Requirement: Rotating Holidays

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week assignment in Viroqua, Wisconsin. This opportunity offers a collaborative work environment, supportive leadership, and the ability to care for a diverse patient population in a critical access hospital setting.

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Compact License required.

• Minimum 5 years of recent Med/Surg hospital experience required.

• Current BLS/BCLS Certification required.

• Current ACLS Certification required.

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills.

• Experience working independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records preferred.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg, Orthopedic, and pediatric overflow patients.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

• Support safe patient care and effective discharge planning.

• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Deliver high-quality patient-centered care during overnight shifts.

Additional Information:

• No on-call requirement.

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.

• Critical Access Hospital setting.
