Accountant
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Accountant for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Pay Rate
$100k to 120k per year
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.
Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and publish accurate financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow).
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconcile bank statements, and record daily transactions.
- Compute taxes, prepare returns, and ensure compliance with IRS and other tax regulations.
- Collaborate with management to create annual budgets, forecast future costs, and evaluate financial performance.
Accountant Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related business field.
- Many roles require or prefer a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero, along with advanced spreadsheet skills.
- In depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards.
