Security Officer (3rd Shift)

About the Position At SeaWorld, we are passionate about caring for animals and creating joyful experiences for guests worldwide. This Third Shift Officer role is part of our dedicated team of Ambassadors who keep our parks safe and welcoming from 8PM to 8AM. Responsibilities Ensure the highest level of guest safety, security, and satisfaction. Serve in key roles with a professional demeanor that reassures guests and team members. Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and team members. Practice safe work habits, including the use of personal protective equipment. Work security checkpoints and complete general security tasks. Inspect all bags and prevent the introduction of contraband into the park. Monitor all vehicles and employees entering and exiting the park. Check ID cards and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Carry out security lockdowns after operating hours. Perform routine foot and vehicle patrols. Respond to and provide aid for emergency situations. Maintain order in large crowds and perform traffic control. Testify in court when necessary. Serve as the Park Dispatcher, Communications Center, and Emergency Operations Center Officer. Work as Security Lead Officer or Officer in Charge (OIC) in the absence of an on‑site supervisor. Requirements At least 18 years of age. Valid Driver’s License and a Florida Class D Security License (Temporary Blue card not accepted). Three days of availability from 8PM to 8AM each shift, including at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). High school diploma or equivalent. American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain them. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and multi‑tasking skills. Ability to maintain calm and order in high‑pressure situations. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and with large crowds in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift. Class D Security Officer license renewal fees are reimbursed by the company. Benefits Fun, fast‑paced environment with great teammates.
