Terminal Operator - Milwaukee Bagging

What We Are Looking For The primary purpose of the Operator role will be using heavy equipment to move various commodities within the terminal. What You Will Do Operator heavy equipment such as front-end loader, sweeper, skid steers, excavators, forklifts, and conveyors to move commodities: salt, fertilizer, soda ash, steel, and other various dry bulk commodities Loading and unloading services by truck, rail, vessel and barge Processing and packaging commodities Perform mechanical maintenance on heavy equipment, as needed Other duties as assigned What You Need High school diploma or equivalent Required Qualifications Must have a good mechanical aptitude Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as front end loaders, forklifts, sweeper operation and conveyors Must have knowledge and experience with packaging and palletizing equipment; must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions majority of the time will be working outside The ability to work from written and verbal instructions Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as take on other duties as assigned Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers Typical hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software) Preferred Qualifications CDL Working Conditions Able to lift as much as 50 lbs. as high as waist level Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and raise your body weight as high as four feet Must not have a fear of water or heights The ability to swim is a plus Ability to take initiative and work with coworkers to accomplish defined goals in a fast‑paced environment Why Join Kinder Morgan Kinder Morgan is a large energy infrastructure company operating in North America.
