Data Analyst - Insurance Industry

Responsibilities Perform data analysis and validation on insurance data, including policy, claims, customer, premium, and transaction data Extract data from multiple sources and address data gaps across domains to improve data quality Support and maintain data warehouse and production ETL pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and Azure Blob Storage Support Master Data Management initiatives on the Profisee platform Use BI reporting tools to validate data, perform source-to-target reconciliation, and support operational and business validation checks Design and develop ad-hoc ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and Python Monitor production jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis Create and maintain technical and functional documentation Identify opportunities to improve data processes and analytics solutions Deliver analytical outputs and visual storytelling to support management decision-making Collaborate with senior engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders on enterprise data initiatives Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of experience with Data Warehousing, Data Lakehouse, and Master Data Management (MDM) 5+ years of experience with Databricks platform 5+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Resources with SQL Server 2+ years of experience with MDM tool – Profisee preferred 5+ years of experience in the Insurance Industry preferred, not required Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python Experience using BI reporting tools for data validation and reconciliation or Tableau Hands‑on experience with API integration Hands‑on experience with version control systems – GitHub Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills across cross‑functional teams Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines Ability to work in a fast‑paced, work‑intensive organization and adapt to changing priorities while delivering with high accuracy Work authorization that does not require employer visa sponsorship now or in the future Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Data Analysis, ETL Development, and Data Warehousing, with a strong focus on using Azure Data Factory and Databricks for data management and validation. Proficient in SQL and Python, with the ability to deliver analytical insights and collaborate effectively across teams.
