Required Skills:

• Proven proficiency in general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Skilled in coronary artery bypass, valve repairs/replacements, aneurysm repair, lung resections (including VATS), and related procedures
• Experience with chest wall, pleural, esophageal, and diaphragm surgeries
• Capable of managing ventilation and performing bronchoscopies
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, hospital setting

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience working in a locum or temporary capacity
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation system
• Additional expertise in managing acute cardiovascular events or complex surgical cases

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery or equivalent specialization
• Active medical license in the state of Ohio or eligible for licensure in OH
• Minimum of 3+ years post-training surgical experience, preferably in hospital settings

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on 05/28/2026 and commit to ongoing coverage as specified
• Must adhere to all hospital policies, including documentation and safety protocols
• Travel reimbursements provided for eligible expenses, with lodging within set limits
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and relevant surgical board certifications preferred
