Altair at Arlo Midtown is seeking a Bar Manager to join our Leadership Team. Altair is a celestial‑inspired New American restaurant known for its detailed cocktail program, high‑performance tableside service, exceptional hospitality, and a thoughtful, modern food program. Our team oversees all food & beverage operations within Arlo Midtown, including ART Midtown , our premier seasonal rooftop bar.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operational Leadership
Oversee floor operations across the bar, dining room, lounges, and rooftop during scheduled shifts.
Maintain a visible leadership presence, supporting staff and ensuring smooth service flow.
Uphold Renwick Hospitality Group’s service standards across all guest‑facing spaces.
Ensure strict adherence to all house recipes, including classics from the cocktail compendium.
Maintain cocktail production standards, garnish standards, and overall beverage quality.
Lead monthly bar trainings and ongoing staff development using our training platforms.
Supervise prep team to ensure all batches, syrups, infusions, and clarifications meet exact specifications.
Oversee bar cleanliness, organization, and Department of Health compliance.
Conduct monthly inventory and maintain accurate reporting.
Place and track all beverage, bar supply, and equipment orders.
Monitor cost of goods, waste, and usage patterns to support financial goals.
Ensure operating supplies & equipment are properly maintained, stored, and controlled.
Support onboarding and continuous training for bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to uphold performance expectations.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment aligned with company values.
Maintain updated task lists and ensure daily completion, including DOH standards.
Assist with menu development, seasonal updates, and beverage R&D.
Collaborate with leadership on programming, events, and rooftop activations.
Support cross‑department communication with culinary, management, and hotel partners.

Altair offers competitive insurance benefits, including 70% coverage for health insurance and 50% coverage for vision and dental , along with additional options that support you and your family.
After six months, a performance‑based bonus structure will be implemented, tied to goals such as quality, leadership, cost of goods, and operational excellence.
