You'll be instrumental in building robust and high-performing web experiences, from intricate front-end interfaces to powerful back-end systems (largely leveraging Netlify). This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our ongoing tech stack evolution, including the implementation of the Astro framework. You'll work closely with our cross-functional web team, including designers, content strategists, and SEO specialists, to translate design concepts into functional realities, develop interactive tools, and ensure our website stands as a leading example of modern web development in the SaaS space.What will you do?Full-Stack Web Development: Take ownership of both front-end and back-end development for UpGuard's marketing website, ensuring seamless integration, high performance, and scalability.Tech Stack Evolution & Implementation: Play a key role in the research, adoption, and implementation of new web technologies, with a strong focus on Astro, Netlify and other modern frameworks, contributing to architectural decisions and best practices.Build Interactive Experiences: Develop and implement dynamic and interactive content, including tools, calculators, and programmatic features, working closely with designers to bring user experience concepts to life.CMS Integration & Optimization: Work with various modern CMS platforms, optimizing their integration and performance to facilitate content delivery and marketing initiatives.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with our web designers and key project stakeholders to implement UI/UX designs, and with content and SEO specialists to ensure technical SEO best practices and content delivery.Performance & Security: Develop with a strong focus on website performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and security across all devices and browsers.Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for existing website features and infrastructure.What will you bring?Full-Stack Development Expertise with emphasis on front-end skills: Proven experience (8+ years) with a strong portfolio of projects, ideally within a SaaS environment.Modern Web Technologies: A comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with a range of modern web technologies, including front-end frameworks (e.g., Astro, React, Vue, Svelte) and some experience with back-end languages/frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms.CMS Proficiency: Experience working with and optimizing various Content Management Systems (CMS).UI/UX Implementation: Strong ability to translate design mockups and UX flows into pixel-perfect and highly functional web interfaces.Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.Code Quality & Best Practices: A commitment to writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices.What will give you an edge?Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms or cloud platforms (e.g., Netlify, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with database design.Experience with Jamstack architecture.Experience with internationalisation (i18n), content translation, and regionalised product offeringsDemonstrated experience or a strong passion for developing with Astro, with a clear understanding of its architecture and benefits.Understanding of web analytics and A/B testing implementation.A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Experience working in cybersecurity or a related technical B2B field.What's in it for you?Monthly Lifestyle subsidy: Use this for financial, physical, and mental well-beingWFH set-up allowance: To ensure you have the right environment to work in, we will help you get set up within your first 3 months at UpGuard$1500 USD annual Learning & Development allowance: To support your career development, all team members will be able to expense development opportunities against this allowanceAnnual leave: PTO plus two additional Upguardian leave days to give you time to recharge your batteries.18 weeks paid Parental Leave: Irrespective of parenting rolePersonal Leave Allowance: This includes sick & carer's leaveFully remote working environment: While we have physical offices in Sydney & Hobart, we do not mandate compulsory attendanceTop-spec hardware: All team members will be provided with top-spec laptops for their roleGenerative AI subsidy: UpGuard provides paid subscriptions for all team members to access generative AI tools to support their work.UpGuard is a Certified Great Place to Work® in the US, Australia, UK and India, establishing its position as a leading global technology employer. 99% of team members agree that UpGuard is a great place to work!
