Radiology Technologist - Bayside, NY (Per Diem)

Location Bayside, NY Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay: $45.00 – $52.00 (based on experience) Position Summary The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants in the examination and treatment of patients. The RT is responsible for a variety of technical procedures and application of prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, including performing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include administrative support to ensure efficient operation of our Centers. The RT supports Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patients through patient care management, organization, and communication. Key Responsibilities Perform x‑ray services for patients of all age groups under the clinical direction of the Medical Provider. Position patients correctly on or in front of equipment and protect them during use. Push patients in a wheelchair as needed. Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment. Maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment. Identify and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as necessary. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures. Excellent time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work. Qualifications and Requirements Education: High School Diploma (required) and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required). Certifications at time of hire: Basic Life Support (BLS); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration; applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist. Valid State Driver’s License. Previous clinical experience preferred.
