We are currently seeking applicants who are interested in being considered for our upcoming summer internship program as potential IT Internal Audit Interns !

Position Summary

The purpose of the Internal Audit Department is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve ERIE's operations. The mission of internal audit is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing independent risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. The Internal Audit Department helps the organization accomplish its strategy and objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

As an IT Internal Audit intern, you will:

• Be provided opportunities to develop skills and gain experience and knowledge of the IT Internal Audit profession, including risk management practices, identity and access management, and information systems controls;
• Participate in a IT audit project that identifies risks, tests the control environment that mitigates those risks, and provide executive management with assurance as to the adequacy of the design and the effectiveness of the controls in place;
• Interact and network with members of Internal Audit, IT process and control owners, and leaders throughout the organization, enabling the intern to build relationships that will benefit them throughout their entire career;
• Use business systems and applications to electronically communicate, perform analysis, document tests of controls, and complete audit assignments.
• Use data analysis tools and visualization software to deliver successful projects.

Who should apply?

• Applications are accepted from college students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university to pursue a four-year degree or to complete a master's degree program full-time
• A four-year degree student should be completing sophomore, junior, or senior year (graduating in spring 2027 thru spring 2029)
• A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher is highly preferred

  Under close supervision, performs functional duties for assigned division. Performs special projects as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs various tasks related to the achievement of division objectives.
• Conducts research and gathers information and assists in creating presentations as required.
• Analyzes data and reports findings.
• Verifies and enters data into appropriate system, and updates electronic files.
• Provides clerical and administrative support as needed.
• Completes special projects as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements

• High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
• Pursuit of Bachelor's degree with completion of sophomore year in a relevant field required.

Additional Experience

• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software preferred.
